What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect and process personal information in order to analyse and assess your Gambling Commission licence requirements, provide financial consultancy services and to inform industry sector trend analysis.
We collect information through the SKA Financial Consultancy website and through direct requests for information from you as the client. Personal information we will collect from you will vary in nature dependent upon the services we are providing. Here are some illustrative and non-exhaustive examples:
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Caching & Cookies
This site utilises caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.

Who we share your data with
We will disclose your personal information internally within SKA Financial Consultancy Ltd.
We may disclose your personal data to third parties (outside SKA Financial Consultancy), but only when it is necessary to do so, and subject to our confidentiality obligations. Such recipients include but are not limited to: the Gambling Commission; our bank, auditors and accountants; debt collectors; our insurance brokers and underwriters; HMRC.
We take all appropriate steps as required by law to ensure that, where the other party is a data processor, that they have appropriate data security systems in place and process data solely in accordance with our instructions.
How long we retain your data
Our policy is to hold your personal information for as long as is needed for us to be able to provide our services to you. SKA Financial Consultancy’s general retention policy is to retain information for 6 years.
However, we may be obliged to keep your data for a longer period, for example where required by our legal and regulatory obligations, or in order to ensure that we have effective IT back-up systems.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
